Door to Door: a travel guide for disabled peopleGoing by roadEvery journey involves travelling by road even if it is just at the start and finish. Going by car is still the preferred option for many disabled people. However if you do not have access to a car, or do not wish to use your car, there are a range of services providing increasingly accessible travel opportunities for disabled people - mainstream public transport bus services, tailored door-to-door community transport services, taxi and private hire (mincab) services and transport services provided by local voluntary organisations.
